one of the
persons that initiated the first celebration fund-raiser at Stan's
and was a strong supporter before he died more than a year ago. Television personality Joe Klimas served as master of ceremonies, but it was Gober who kept up the fast pace of the six-hour event. In between entertainers he, performed his version of a telethon, telling jokes, dancing and singing, while attendees came up and handed him money. Among them were Frankie Ray and Mary Ellen, Bob Gideons, Rex Roden and the Hot Country Band, Johnny Angel, Wally and the Alibi Band, J.
